A Favorite of Mine

I was asked today what the best image I've taken so far was and I barely knew how to respond. I feel that I have taken so many really good pictures that it's hard to choose between them. So I'm going to talk about one that I think I always go back to because it still amazes me that I am the one who took it. This picture was taken as part of an assignment but you wouldn't have known that if I didn't just tell you. The meaning behind this image brought life and death together as represented by the wedding dress and the grave stones. We're all so quick to live life that it ends so quickly and it's when life is set to expire that we really look back on how we spent our days. I can gladly say that I spent mine capturing moments like this that will last a whole lifetime after I'm at the end of my road. I was lucky enough to share this moment with a stunning woman. I wanted to give the viewer a chance to put in a mental story of their own by not showing this woman's face. This could be anyone, anytime, and any day. She could be there for any reason, she could simply be a memory or a spirit, it's all what the viewer perceives it to be in their own thoughts. (You can share your ideas in the comments area below). In the end, I think this was a very thought out and creative shot and I absolutely love the contrast between the white dress and the gloominess of the cemetary.
